At @Hunt_Institute, we’re at our best when we’re setting the table. We bring policymakers together—across differences—to wrestle with the hardest issues in education. Always with one goal in mind: better outcomes for kids. That’s the work. That’s the why.

After the 2024 FAFSA fiasco, @NCANetwork estimates that completion rates have returned to pre-pandemic levels. I hope someone is following what happened to that class. It works out to ~ 250,000 fewer kids who completed the FAFSA last year.

@educationweek Finally: Be consistent. Explain your decisions. Stick to your values. In moments of uncertainty, teams look to leaders for steady, sound judgment—and consistency is what helps build that long-term trust.

@educationweek Second: Authenticity builds connection. School leaders don’t need to have all the answers. Admitting your own limitations (especially around SEL) and leaning on your team’s strengths creates room for honest collaboration.
