Back in January, I did leg day with @hasanthehun for @NYTStyles, hoping to figure out what it means to be a left-wing man in a red-pilled world.

For @NYTStyles, I wrote about the consultant class quest to make Democratic politics cool again.

For @rollingstone, some scenes from the protest movement inside Columbia's campus this week, as the university administration sides wholeheartedly with both the Trump administration and Zionist groups on campus.

Had a lot of fun trying to convince @Max_Fisher that getting hit in the face recreationally was good and also solve the masculinity crisis in America on this episode of Offline with @jonfavs

Had a really good time a few weeks ago on @AppleNews with @shubasu, talking about Dana White, Donald Trump and how the UFC now rules America. (They cut my incoherent rambling about how great it is to punch people in the face but that’s ok.)

For the March issue of @newrepublic, I wrote about Atlanta's Stop Cop City movement, which is a test-case for repression in the second Trump administration. No-knock raids, brutal charges, and lengthy detentions: coming soon to a city near you.

Despite countless protests and actual war reporting this is actually the first time I’ve been punched in the face while working a story — and I don’t regret it at all. So grateful to all the fighters and gyms who let me come get some work in.

It’ll be out in print, with an incredible photo spread from @nataliekeyssar in early February. Until then, read the piece here and always, always keep your eyes on the fights.

Reporting story took me to the Sphere in Las Vegas, nightclubs in Queens & a ton of sweaty gyms in between. The fighters there don’t have insurance, college athletic budgets, million-dollar NIL deals. All they have is a dream they’re willing to bleed for.

Back in August, I asked @RollingStone to let me write about one of my hobbies & the new American pastime: Mixed Martial Arts. In November, the story changed — & only got more relevant. If you want to know the new, bloody America, you gotta know the UFC.

For @NYTStyles, I slept in a rental car deep in the Appalachian woods to experience life on an off-grid homestead that runs on solar power, rainwater, and a constant flow of online content.
