New from Daniel Westlake & I in @CJPS_RCSP 🇨🇦 We examine how Canadian politicians talk about their class backgrounds (occupation, education, & union membership) in campaign communications. We analyze 987 online biographies from the 2022 ON & QC provincial elections, helping. .

I argue that this policy will be bad for Quebec in the long run, creating new issues without helping to alleviate the important problems of underfunding francophone universities and the decline of French in Montreal.
