This is absolute genius. Such a clever idea: just use four words, two (except New Zealand) of which are your company name repeated, so your rhyme hook is at the start rather than the end. Netherlands one is hands down the funkiest, someone went out on a limb there, nailed it.
At a time when the world feels more divided than ever, it's important to remember that we ARE divided, for many good reasons, and FUCK Them Lot. The only thing we all have in common, no matter the country, black or white, rich or poor, man or woman or sock - is autoglass jingle

… then it became Rock FM. I was trying to listen to both that launch, and the surprise “4 Days In June” bonus competition on Radio 1, after the apparent end of the “31 Days In May” competition, with the prize selector. Fun times. 2/2 @airchecks

Final Red Rose thoughts for now: Robin Ross Saturday evening show sometimes playing 12” versions of hot ones, Keith Macklin? old guy classical/country shows, non-stop top 20 about 6 each eve, the great John Gillmore, ever-present Dave Lincoln, Sally Moon on a Saturday morning 1/2

The comments are right. This one’s a banger too. I think there were a couple of lyric variations on this. “Red Rose leads the way” vs “You know that we lead the way”?
Today's jingle of the day is for Red Rose Radio (now @974RockFM). Produced by Sue Manning 1986. #AircheckDownloads

Another favourite jingle, Night time’s the right time (yes I am just working through @airchecks’s Red Rose posts). Red Rose had a great theme too, and it existed in various versions with different instruments: classical and contemporary. Would love to hear those back to back.

The bit I have he’s coming out of the news telling a quick funny story over a bed of (see Of The War) War Of The Worlds… as he ends and it breaks into “… changes of anything coming from Mars” was the start of a lifelong and so far unresolved obsession with that album … 2/2

I have a clip of Alton Andrews in the afternoon around 1988. He was a “livelier” DJ more in the vein of Steve Wright, had his own jingle cuts (some generic? “Ha-ha-ha-have a good day with your radio, have a good day!”). 1/2

More memories. While I regularly listened to the first part of Beswick’s late night phone-in (pre-Whale), I did also sometimes catch Beswick’s Sunday? morning show. “It’s your turn”, quiz earlier with Wobbly Warren and later Cuddly Caroline assisting. Somehow.
New audio - Lancashire's Red Rose Radio with Allan Beswick (Sept 1985). Thanks to @MichaelBoltonA

Ah, the voice of Owen Oyston, the poshest northerner you ever heard. Red Rose was my first regular radio listening from about 1985. But going into a news report about the Common Fisheries Policy not the most exciting way to launch a station, maybe hold off on news til hour 2?

I actually saw this the morning after, maybe they just repeated it. But I also remember something about a “landslide” as well, and Major (I guess) gets buried by it. Perhaps that was another occasion/election. 2/2

Been looking for this clip for years, couldn’t exactly recall occasion. Was staying at the Pentonville Rd flat that mono people shared in London.. the fabulous Peter Snow and his “Prime Ministers in a hole”, with Major being up to his neck from 46:35 https://t.co/0l6upMnRw6 1/2

Passing time I asked ChatGPT what the big deal was about Taylor Swift’s Reputation album was (I’m very pleased for her by the way). It then offered to compare her fanbase with another one, so I picked @realjahwobble since he was on my mind from earlier. 1/2

EPIC RAP BATTLES OF RACISTS @ERBofHistory
Reform should settle their differences by recording diss tracks about each other. I wouldn't put it past these grasping, opportunist, cringe cunts to actually do it.
