Strange shift yesterday ended up in prison at 9pm. Luckily it was only for a few minutes to collect a prisoners keys to ensure their pets were looked after during their incarceration 🔐 🐶 🥰

In 2024 the average fine for hunting a wild mammal with a dog under the Hunting Act 2004 was just £454. This shows yet again that the Hunting Act is not working. Loopholes are exploited. Penalties are weak. Wildlife is still being chased and killed. #TimeForChange

Police unable to attend. Dog removed upon owner returning and apart from being warm and panty was ok. Dog was cooled with water before going on their way. I was fully prepared to force entry to vehicle to protect dog from suffering if it got to that stage

Day off today. Just noticed a dog sat panting away in a car in McDonald’s carpark. Owner was summoned to return to vehicle immediately. Apologetic and seemingly unaware of the danger they’d left their pooch in because windows were cracked & water available. Took stern advice

🚨Graphic. But this is the reality of the neglect I investigated in late 2024. The case has now concluded in the courts. Poor Bodie was severely let down by his owner who left him suffering immensely for a prolonged period. The owner was given a suspended jail term & 5 Year ban

Removed this lovely girl today. Left unattended after her owner went to jail. Despite this poorly timed image 😅 she was a joy to deal with and good company for most of the day.

Imagine living like that 24 hours a day. This is the reality for so many rabbits, other ‘small furries’ and exotics, locked away where the neglect often goes undetected.
