Interesting how UK news platforms still often refer to 'King Charles' not 'the King'. They never said Queen Elizabeth. It was always the Queen. Maybe it's because they now reach non-UK consumers. But I think it's resistance to change; many say Twitter a year after X changed name.

Started my first job in #journalism as trainee reporter in South London 54 years ago today. Will log on at home to sub-edit for @TheSun newspaper later today. Was shown ropes by another trainee that first day; @LavenhamLesley and I are still wed, and life members of @NUJofficial

This government will ultimately realise all UK citizens should have a digital registration unifying their PP, NHS, NI and driving licence. It would help detect illegal immigrants and illegal workers, and praps minimise the number of minors accessing inappropriate internet content

Each Labour government has changed the country: NHS, capital punishment, gay sex, abortion, civil partnerships, minimum wage, devolution and much more including https://t.co/OCFpQIywLC. Starmer continuing proud tradition.

.@Keir_Starmer wrong to reject Blair's digital ID initiative. It's NOT a card. I've a Netflix subscription number but no card. Netflix knows exactly how many members it has and who they are. The UK should too. I have NHS, PP, NI and drive licence numbers. Why not a universal one?

Blair on AI and digital ID in @thetimes is spot on, although many won't like it.

If Greens or Lib Dems had lent Labour their votes #Suffolk South would now have @emmabishton as MP. Shame. Well done, Emma ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ #GeneralElection2024

Delighted with Labour's success and the Lib Dems'. But am sad so many working people in England voted Tory after the sheer incompetence of the past 14 years. The darkest part of the cloud however is success of Reform UK. A worrying portent of things to come? #GeneralElection2024

The very bad news, in my view, is that, if the Reform UK wins come through as predicted by the exit poll, the Tory party is more likely to turn sharply right under Kemi Badenoch, and stay there for five years. The potential alternative government becomes far uglier than it is now

This will be 15th gen elect since redtop Sun started in 1969. Thursday's will be its 5th unequivocal Labour endorsement. It failed to back the winner thrice: 1970 when Tories won, Feb 1974 when Labour won and Oct that year when Labour won after Sun called for coalion #journalism

My own South Suffolk constituency is my bellwether for this GE for the first time. It was utterly unthinkable that Labour could ever win it. If @emmabishton nicks it, then the overall outcome will be historic. Vote Labour for change #suffolk #GE2024 #lovelavenham

Decisively? 37 per cent of the electorate (not much more than a third) voted for Brexit.

Decisively? No. Decisively is how you are going to lose this election. You may notice a difference.
