Anyone working on a MCP spec for design systems? I feel like we need something that accounts for more than styling like tokens, but also interactions, state, events etc. Ideally we have a spec that aligns to declarative UI with slots for composability. Started on something.

New demo! I made this prototype that generates different “mosaic” layouts, and designed some new zoom transitions, too!. Wave/UIKit. Fully interruptible and always runs at 120hz.

Several questions why we needed something new. We needed a small light weight asset that could travel over the air. It needed to fit into a motion designers workflow. Support the quality we needed, ie P3 colors, transparency, high frame rate, accessibility fall backs for.

We just made it happen to be honest. Our entire Media team and program was born the same way. We saw around a corner and said "we will need this". @ramon_fritsch hacked on it in the late hours and juggled other tasks. It was a grass roots effort just like Lottie was in 2016.
“Sure, go invent a new video player format for some little animations” really just happens at Airbnb. They keep raising the bar for craft and I love that.
