I finally got a fediverse account and I'm excited to follow some people who have left Twitter recently as well as some who moved years ago. @joshhead@penguicon.social

See Twitter is cool because it's a place you can talk to friends and strangers about your interests, and also when you interview for a job your prospective employer can get a report on your tweets

Just checked my followers list and I didn't realize some of us were mutuals?? Some really impressive folks on here; this is both a reason I don't tweet more and why it's a too bad I don't tweet more

I'm reading posts about all the friends people made on Twitter, and it's a reminder of how little I interact on Twitter despite spending a lot of time here. Still love seeing what y'all are up to though

Of course, if you get the right clerk in the right office they will know exactly what you mean and act like it's obvious, boring; routine.

Navigating government regulations is fun because you will find a bunch of articles online saying "you must do this, it is illegal not to do it", then you talk to a clerk in an office who acts like you are completely unhinged for suggesting you might need to do the thing.

The seasonal gingerbread Soylent reminds me of the cafe chai flavor. Maybe more cinnamon? Is this just the caffeine free chai of Soylent flavors? Fine by me, I do like to be able to sleep.

We have a winner! "uzhe" narrowly beats out close contenders "yoozh" and "uzh" for the least confusing possible clipped form for "usual" Now if you need to write it, you can know if you're chosing the marginally least confusing option of an overall very confusing field

Just watched an ad for a guitar effects pedal and it sounds so good that I want to buy it even though I don't play guitar.

Some email marketing teams just vastly overestimate how often I might want to hear from them.

For some fun ambiguity, "I wouldn't miss it" can mean both "I will definitely attend," and "I don't care if the event is cancelled."

I love yard sales. Running them. Visiting them. Old stuff! Cheap prices! Creative valuations! No I do not want to pay $45 for that rusty saw. Yes I will take that cool alarm clock for 50 cents.
