SSENSE cops a lot of flack for undercutting small retailers but it is also such godsend for anyone that lives outside of a major fashion capital. I think it will be very sad to see it go if it does. It also makes me wonder what the future of fashion e commerce looks like. Clearly

1%ers are significantly more competent than they are given credit for if their representation drops this little when only considering the SAT.
If you *only* used SAT to admit to elite colleges, share of admits from top 1% income falls 15.8% → 9.9% and representation from <$200k rises by +8.8%, with no reduction in post-college outcomes. It's 'holistic review' and 'ban SAT' policy that allows the most wealthy and

I need to meet people who are the audience for this kind of stuff: have lots of money and want to spend it, are aware of design on some level, but haven't ventured deep enough to develop their own taste. Lot of potential there
introducing ⤷ https://t.co/5Zen2iwI3T I've always loved finding objects that feel intentional, are designed with care and built to last so I built this directory to collect them will be updating this weekly, let me know what you think :)

Crazy how hard Helvetica + FOT Matissa goes together
@LinkofSunshine This link is probably my favorite curated collection of screenshots, a full +250 pictures of GUI and displays from Evangelion. Pure bliss for those weirdo like me that enjoy design like this. https://t.co/cro4kOriSt

If Twitter is any indicator, an art world dominated by RW posters somehow would be significantly worse than the one we currently have. How bleak. How grim.

The strong graphic quality to the book immediately made me think of Graphis or IDEA and I think my background in graphic design was one of the primary reasons it resonated so strongly with me.

The careful arrangement of regular objects or interventions, I don't know it was like a switch had flipped and I was looking at a precious secret, a book of artifacts of immense value

I think it takes the 'right' stimuli for someone to 'get it' and see the beauty in something, but the more you are exposed to this stuff it's easier and easier to 'get it'. For me it was the composition of the images, the grainy quality, those rich blacks and yellowed pages

I am sympathetic to people suspicious of modern art. I used to be like that until I saw Ars Povera by Gemmano Celant and it blew my mind. The general public should have more opportunities to immerse themselves in art, rather than this weird divergence between the two.

I mean fuck me, land art is so incredible I don't understand people reflexively hating on it. Especially when so many examples are celebrated by a lot of the people who hate 'modern art' or whatever.

I mean, he's QTing me, so why not, but this idea that Duchamp, Heizer, or Comedian aren't examples of 'real art' or producers of 'real art' is just really profoundly stupid. Not familiar with the bottom right so I'll refrain from commenting on it.
