I was glad to be with #UnitedAgainstMalnutritionAndHunger where @LordOates and @Liam Byrne MP spoke powerfully on the doom cycle of debt and malnutrition. The UK must continue to be a voice for a more just world where everyone has the chance to thrive🌍 #GlobalHealth

This #WorldChildrensDay reminds us that every child deserves to grow up healthy & well nourished. Yet millions still die of malnutrition. Through @UNICEF's Child Nutrition Fund, governments can leverage funding to support vital nutrition, so every child can reach their potential

With a match in place, $112M pledged -> $220M raised toward a $500M match for @UNICEF’s Child Nutrition Fund. Public & private partners are building serious momentum in the race to end malnutrition for mothers & children. Let’s get to the finish line. 👏💙 #GlobalCitizenFestival

Out 12 Nov on https://t.co/faSm63DNjL! Malnutrition traps 100s of millions in poverty. Surging debt repayments are making it much worse. Debt and Malnutrition: Ending the Doom Loop exposes the problem & shows how debt can be transformed into a tool for growth. #DebtAndHunger

The 'gold mafia' and the illicit gold trade in countries like Zimbabwe enable corruption and fund conflict in Sudan, while plundering nations of their natural wealth @jonny_oates asks UK to sanction corrupt elites involved and use its illicit finance summit to crack down on this

Last weekend, Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu-PF party voted to undemocratically extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term by two years, from 2028 to 2030... ACTSA advisory board member @MakomboreroH comments➡️ https://t.co/HCVVvjXlrb

Joyous to read the newspapers today with all the hostages finally home and the bombing of Gaza ceased. We must pray that in the next phase leaders will show wisdom and secure a just outcome for Israelis and Palestinians, with both able to live in safety in their own states

If one insists on claiming that Britain, along with France, Australia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Canada, and hundreds of other nations, recognising Palestine as a state is a factor in today’s appalling attack on a Manchester synagogue, then by the same logic one would also have to

To the pathetic weak Keir Starmer: You do not get to recognise the "State of Palestine" and then act shocked when it emboldens anti-Jewish terrorism. Your outrage and sympathies are fake and void. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm quite frankly sickened by some of the responses I've seen to the attack on the synagogue. Antisemitism existed long before the Israeli occupation and it remains a serious problem. The lack of empathy for the victims of a senseless attack on a place of worship is appalling.

Shocking to hear of this appalling attack on Jewish people on Yom Kippur. Thinking of the family and friends of those so horrifically attacked, and standing with all people living in fear of prejudice and hatred

Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.

Great to hear @LibDems International Development spokesperson, @monicabeharding , speaking at Lib Dem conference, about the importance of nutrition in development, particularly for women and girls.

A welcome decision at last but this should have been done decades ago when it could have helped prevent the tragedy of what has happened to both Palestine and Israel,

Today, to revive the hope of peace for the Palestinians and Israelis, and a two state solution, the United Kingdom formally recognises the State of Palestine.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday. I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric. Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

Last week the IPC confirmed that over half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine. The horrific attack on Israel on October 7th was rightly condemned worldwide but the wholesale destruction of Gaza & starvation of its people in response cannot be justified in any way.

The lack of decisive action by G7 members to the horrors that are being inflicted on the people of Gaza brings shame on all our countries.

So sad to hear the news that David Nabarro, has died. He was a relentless advocate in the fight against malnutrition and hugely supportive of ⁦@UnitedAMH⁩ when we were established in 2022 and ever since. His passing is a great loss to the world.
