I'm quite frankly sickened by some of the responses I've seen to the attack on the synagogue. Antisemitism existed long before the Israeli occupation and it remains a serious problem. The lack of empathy for the victims of a senseless attack on a place of worship is appalling.

Shocking to hear of this appalling attack on Jewish people on Yom Kippur. Thinking of the family and friends of those so horrifically attacked, and standing with all people living in fear of prejudice and hatred
Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.

Last week the IPC confirmed that over half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine. The horrific attack on Israel on October 7th was rightly condemned worldwide but the wholesale destruction of Gaza & starvation of its people in response cannot be justified in any way.

So sad to hear the news that David Nabarro, has died. He was a relentless advocate in the fight against malnutrition and hugely supportive of @UnitedAMH when we were established in 2022 and ever since. His passing is a great loss to the world.
