I can’t speak to someone of another race’s experiences but Ik most of us have been educated on our country’s Indian history. You can argue that it hasn’t been effective in bridging the cultural divide but Ik way more about my Indian heritage than I do my African and that hurts
Being Indian was never accepted by the wider nation.
Being Indian was never representative of Caribbean/Trinidadian culture and was dismissed - to this day it is still dismissed.

My short answer to this is they won’t have a choice. I don’t believe local companies can afford to fill all their positions with just men. Some may get by but at large women in TT significantly contribute to our labor force. If we want leave we have the power to get it.
