When I announced my campaign 7 weeks ago, I was so excited to finally share my plan for a safer & better LA with all of you. From being the first DDA to speak out about George Gascón’s dangerous “day 1” directives & standing up to his failed leadership, it’s been quite a journey

On this Labor Day, let’s take a moment to recognize and celebrate all the hard working women and men who make our lives and communities better and safer each & every day. To my fellow prosecutors who fight for justice for all; to my wife who works everyday to protect our Santa.

On Dec 4, 1990, Randolph Hoag, in a jealous rage, shot and killed Charles Sweed, his girlfriend’s ex-husband, in Los Angeles. He shot Charles 6 times in the back as he was leaving an apartment where he had visited his 5-yr-old daughter and ex-wife. In 1992, a jury convicted.

Fires in the Sepulveda Basin set by the 200-300 homeless living there: more than 700 fires in last year and a half. That’s an average of 1 fire call to LAFD every single day in this area. So, residents wanted to know who is responsible for their safety and removing the homeless.

More than 700 reported fires in the Sepulveda Basin over the past year and a half, most caused by the homeless. Local residents fed up. Firefighters are too.

In California, politicians can sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA’s) and so can lobbyists and special interest groups when determining how to use taxpayer dollars, putting together state laws and discussing and organizing major state projects. So, all the meetings and backdoor.

Here’s the full committee analysis, which says costs are “unknown” but could be “significant” for not just courts, but also counties to incarcerate lawmakers as a result of this bill. Again, this bill makes it a crime for CA lawmakers to sign NDAs on legislation.

In a new study by the Associated Press-81% of Americans say crime is a major concern in big cities. 66% of Americans say crime is a major concern nationwide. Crime is bad. Public safety is good. That’s not partisan. It’s common sense. No one believes the “crime is down”.

Prayer 🙏🏽 is good. If you don’t like it or don’t believe - don’t do it. But don’t put others down who do believe. Prayer and being a believer won’t magically save me or anyone else from tragedy or bad things on this planet. I see cases of abused, neglected & murdered children.

You can’t be serious about actually stopping gun violence & protecting children if you are NOT serious & supportive of fully prosecuting people who illegally use & possess guns and commit gun violence in our communities especially against children.

When tragedies happen and children are injured or killed, all of us need to stop with the politics. It’s gross. An 8-yr-old and a 10-yr-old were killed. 14 more children were injured in this tragedy in Minnesota. It’s beyond horrific. Sometimes bad & evil people do bad & evil.

LawnStarter ranked the “dirtiest cities in America.” . They looked at: pollution, water quality, air conditions, overall cleanliness of the city, roadway pollution, inadequate living conditions, inadequate waste infrastructure and resident dissatisfaction. The number 2 dirtiest.

Like Trump or dislike Trump, $0 bail was one of the dumbest & most dangerous concepts that came from the Covid lockdowns. Sadly, most LA politicians supported it. The Sacramento radicals as well. There is nothing reform-minded about $0 bail. Gascón implemented $0 bail for many.

As someone who prosecutes child homicide cases, it isn’t something to celebrate that my city or my states “murder rates” are lower than other cities or states. Even one innocent child murdered is horrible. It’s not something to compare or celebrate like we won something. Also,.

Food for thought this Thursday: . -Political & partisan gerrymandering is bad no matter which political party or state is doing it. You end up with worse representatives who are in safe seats and will now do even less for the voters. Politicians & political parties get more.

Oakland PD: Has 515 officers actively working - needs 877 officers in total . LAPD: short between 800-1,000 officers . LASD: 2,000 sworn deputy and 1,600 professional staff vacancies . But hey, at least we have those new redistricting maps.

Let’s see what Newsom and the radicals in Sacramento should be prioritizing: . -Fire victims & rebuilding (we lost many lives & homes - this should be a priority) . -Homeowners insurance (many of us can’t even get insurance for our homes. And the CA ins commissioner, supported by.
