Letzte Woche durfte ich bei RBB zibb über ein paar Gehirnmythen aufklären: Macht Alkohol dumm? Können wir multitasken? Sind große Gehirne besonders intelligent? "Schläft" das Gehirn nachts? Bringt Gehirnjogging etwas? :-) .

With the US election a nail-biter I need some good news. Calculating German COVID-19 daily increase (%) vs matching day in previous week (note: for weekends this is quite volatile). Seems there is a positive trend. Is this motivated reasoning / p-hacking? I didn't pre-register!

Great guesses! A is correct. It's the elevator shaft in our house looking up. If you look carefully there are some cables pulled down by gravity. The alternative, looking down from above, would be a dangerous foto to take without a selfie-stick (which I don't own) :-).
