The inability/unwillingness for @NateAFischer/@NewFounding/@AmReformer to recognize that the moral perversion of pornography is from the same ideological root as rejecting gender realities is cutting their project off at the knees. They want to fight fire while inviting

Nate Fischer seems to think because his purportedly christian VC fund was fighting the left in popular culture, this justifies being business partners with a pornographer. "He had some different values".

I also think some people are getting a bit too flustered on this topic. If allowing this exception for ordination in the PCA isn’t an existential threat, then I don’t know how a coloring book is. But it’s still not worth the strife, regardless if some folks are being dramatic.

I don’t hold to a stricter view of the Second Commandment. Still, surely inclusion of some kid’s books in our denominational bookstore isn’t worth the heat. What do we lose if we decide to uphold the stricter view in denominational entities?

The PCA bookstore should not be selling resources with images of Christ.

I believe it’s important to remember that the inclusion of specific minorities into an ideological movement or organization doesn’t mean that they can’t also, at the same time, hold some latent racist or discriminatory ideas. The “but I have a Black friend” argument doesn’t

Johnny @johnnyburtka has brought me to @ISI to teach the Bible many times. I've lectured to their students on Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, and Saul. The insinuation that @ISI is anti-semitic is reprehensible. A leading American rabbi taught there this summer for God's sake.

The short version of @NateAFischer’s self-important screed is that he’s absolutely down to partner with Nazi pornographers as long as it owns the libs. Also you’re a Pharisee (somehow) if you have a problem with it. Anyway, if you’re a sane Christian with any integrity, it’s

I don't think I agree that nationalism is racism. I do think nationalism is like black magic: People who think *they* will be able to control *it* are often clueless about the forces they're playing with.

For the record, I externally process ideas and accidentally spoil shows and movies all the time. It’s an ongoing (unserious) marital dispute.

We must be against the evil of Southern Presbyterianism in order to rightly champion the good of Southern Presbyterianism. There is no other way. So when slavery or racism is condemned or criticized in these men, I love them and love God well by saying “amen.” 19//

We show hatred for the good that these men taught if we do not correct the evil. For whatever good slavers and racists taught, that good belongs to God and the evil belonged to them. We tarnish the good that is God’s by not making these distinctions. 18

What is different now, then, considering most of these men are passed from this world and we don’t have these hypothetical time machines? I’d argue that not a lot is different. 17

But it would be hateful to let him continue in his false race doctrines and his defense of carnal injustices. It would show either a callus and cold apathy to his own soul or to the evil he taught. Maybe both. 16

My hope and prayer would be that a time machined RL Dabney (for example) dropped into 2025 could be persuaded into repentance. And perhaps we’d also benefit from some corrections from him. 15

We would not hate these men, we would not mock them or scorn them, but we also not let them live in sin and we most assuredly would not allow them to continue in the suffering and dehumanization of others. 14

We would call them to repent of their sin. We would be patient, pointing them to the truth of God’s Word and showing them their errors. We would not jump to extreme censors to make a statement, but use due diligence and wise judgment. 13
