This may be true in non-Christian societies for lowbrow pop entertainers like Chip & Joanna, who follow the culture rather than shaping it. Christians who take a more independent self-confident approach are better able to influence even mainstream culture.
Chip & Joanna Gaines are the latest proof that āmainstream Christian cultureā is a contradiction in terms. God tells Christians that we āare not of this world.ā Christians are counter-cultural. Becoming āmainstreamā w/ lines of Target goods & Oprah-endorsed tv shows makes it.

Interesting to consider how a broader decline in societal trust may change Silicon Valley.
the reason tech has been able to grow so quickly and create so much wealth is that it ritualized a set of norms around corporate governance that are very distinct from what the law actually requires. the second someone defects, the whole ship goes down.

Important rule to understand in venture investing ā one of the great advantages of including venture in a portfolio.
The One Big Beautiful Bill just turned the best tax break in America into an absolute monster. - $15 MILLION of tax-free gains. - Sell in just 3 years. - More companies qualify. If youāre building a startup, this changes everything. Letās walk through the new QSBS rules:.

Appreciate this rigorous rebuttal of an anti-AmRef blog post that got some attention yesterday. This illustrates one of our founding theses at @AmReformer:. There is a tremendous reservoir of talent and energy from capable (and often pseudonymous) laymen and institutional.
1/@presbycastās Brad Isbell titles his piece āAmerican Deformerā but offers no doctrinal deformation. Instead, he catalogs associations, insinuates motives, and draws lines of suspicion. It is a critique of motion, not of theologyāa sensationalist hit piece lacking substance.

Marc nails a key issue in the āhigh-skill immigrationā debate:. We canāt even assess what needs, if any, exist until we reform the college and early-career selection process and how we source and credential American talent.
Marc Andreessen: if you're the parents of a smart kid where I grew up [rural Wisconsin] and you think you're going to get them into a top university in this country, you're fooling yourself. What level of untapped talent exists in this country that a combination of DEI and

Another move away from Delaware.
We are moving the state of our incorporation from Delaware to Nevada. It used to be a no-brainer to start a company and incorporate in Delaware. Thatās no longer the case. We're not the first - Dropbox, Tripadvisor and Tesla have already left. Why we're moving (and why you

This is an interesting point. We are called to dominion over the earth, and technology is a powerful tool to achieve this. But it is ultimately about fulfilling Godās purpose for us ā not our own individual enjoyment ā and we should see our work in this light as part of a plan.
Thought I had today while listening to the latest Shawn Ryan podcast and moving the sheep to new pasture:. Is one of the problems with modern techno-Utopianism a lack of the virtue of patience? . For instance thinking about it in terms of lots of medical advances. It doesnāt seem.
