It's true that Miami is the only team that could pull this off (and that they + a few others have a built-in market advantage. so it goes). It's also true that every team should try to mimic this deal in their own way. Miami push the boundaries? Everyone else has to push too.
Update on Rodrigo De Paul: The current plan being communicated is that De Paul will NOT be a designated player for rest of 2025 while on loan. That would mean Inter Miami's DPs remain: Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba. TAM includes Luis Suarez & De Paul. With @JacobsBen

A brutal blow for Aaron Long and LAFC, who are growing light on center back depth between this injury and Marlon's departure. We could see a center back arrive this summer, along with one (or two!) DPs.
