Food order seems to matter a lot, especially coming out of a fasted state. At the farmers market, I tried some dates after fasting for about 12 hours. My BG jumped over 60 mg/DL. Eating the same serving of dates later in the day after a meal did not cause the same sharp jump.

I tend to work out in the morning, but on the 26th I worked out in the evening… maybe this kept my BG lower during sleep? I also ate very few carbs/sugars on the 26th. Overall, my fasting BG continues to be above healthy ranges - fluctuating between 100-130. Gonna see a doctor.

Sensor 2 - Similar to the first sensor, days 1 and 2 showed relatively low blood glucose (BG) levels. Starting day 3, BG climbed and has remained fairly constant. Had my most stable and lowest avg BG day last Friday.

1st sensor summary: Blood glucose levels were not in normal ranges, let alone optimal ones. I’m hoping I got a defective sensor and/or did not administer it perfectly. Onto the next.

My surf on day 9 caused the biggest spike in glucose that I experienced during the whole 10 day period - over 200 mg/dL.

Exercise: Short 10-20 minute walks in the morning and after meals have a noticeable effect in lowering my blood glucose. My 2 long runs (6+ miles) barely spiked my glucose. I ran slowly, but need to learn more about what kinds of exercise impact blood glucose. .

Days 4-10. Avg glucose levels and post meal glucose spikes indicated I am firmly in the pre-diabetic thresholds, possibly diabetic 😕. I’m going to do one more 10-day regiment with a new sensor before I draw any conclusions or go see a doctor (each sensor lasts 10 days).

provided in the app. All the studies describe targets and thresholds for “mean” 24 hour glucose levels, but the levels app reports “average” glucose per day. It would be nice to be able to toggle between mean and average.

Day 3. It’s been 48 hours since I put on the sensor, so it should be fully calibrated. Waking up, glucose is over 100 again. Not ideal. In reviewing the @Levels health reading material, I’m noticing one inconsistency between the medical literature they share and the metrics. .

Day 2. Avg glucose is way more elevated today. Is my CGM fully calibrated now? I fasted long today - first meal not until 1:30pm. Big spike after lunch + banana bread and glucose levels remained elevated for multiple hours.

Sensor 1 (Days 1-10).Day 1. I set up the CGM at 9am, started getting readings at about 11:30am. My fasting glucose seems to be in the optimal range, but apparently the sensor needs about 24-36 hours to calibrate. Seeing first glucose spike 2-3 hours after eating a delicious. .

I re-engaged with @Levels when I saw my cousin wearing a levels CGM this fall, and over the holidays, I finally got around to signing up.

linking elevated blood glucose to poor cardiovascular health outcomes. I also have 2 immediate family members who have been diagnosed with “pre-diabetes.” Aside from wanting to mitigate chronic disease risk, I thought it would be fun to see the biometric data.

@Levels Why I’m measuring my blood glucose: I discovered @Levels at the same time my dad was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation in 2020 - he’s totally fine now. But at the time, I was trying to learn more about cardiovascular health and risk factors. I discovered some studies. .

Kicking off a 2-month trial with @Levels health continuous glucose monitor (CGM). I’m going to start microblogging about it here to share learnings/feedback.

Has any @RobinhoodApp user ever calculated your time-weighted return with your historical data? The % return number in the app is totally useless.
