JJ is not the GM though, our GM seemed to think he put a masterpiece with roster construction

JJ has done a very good job but he also doesn’t care enough right now with the lineups he’s putting on the floor. Lakers gotta change some things up from a lineup perspective as well as who is on the roster. Any team with Maxi Kleber getting relevant minutes is not serious.

As was expected after the offseason, Lakers roster is not very deep and lacks some key attributes: defending and three point shooting. Some work to be done to be considered amongst the elite. Right now, any sort of athletic team is taking them out in round one of the playoffs.

With Mark Walter in the fold now, I’m interested to see how Pelinka operates this deadline. I think that counts for something. One of his shortcomings as GM has been his inability or unwillingness to address clear weaknesses on the Lakers roster. He can’t do that again.

Once again, this is misleading. ND was “all in” as long as the game and schedule stayed the exact same. They were not “all in” once USC started looking to tweak the schedule. That is how negotiations work. If ND was “all in” the game would be continuing on.
This is laughable on the part of USC. Notre Dame was always all-in on continuing the series without a pause. USC could never say the same.
