Relieved that the hostage situation is over and that no members of Congregation Beth Israel were hurt, but also unsettled knowing police killed the man responsible. I take no solace in police killings, even now. This will only fuel belief that we need cops to keep up safe.

Please pray for Charlie Cytron-Walker and the Congregation Beth Israel during this hostage situation at the shul in Colleville. They are wonderful people and I have davened with them. Rav. Charlie is a good man. He shows up for black lives and muslim lives. Just pray.
