Just as "ready to learn" focuses on young kids' deficits rather than on schools' responsibility to educate all who show up, so talk of "college/career readiness" ignores evidence that the problem isn't unqualified graduates but a scarcity of good jobs

State can fully fund ALL. No reason any school system should be reduced-& I will note again especially not those under-adequacy who are taxing to the maximum. To reduce schools during pandemic when they have not even re-examined the flawed formula is unconscionable. @GovMurphy

Had a wonderful New Jersey Network of Superintendents session this afternoon working with Dr. Michelle Knight-Manuel of Columbia University. Discussed culturally relevant education as a means to achieving equitable outcomes for all students. Got us all thinking deeply.
