After midnight tonight, Asia Michael will take over duties as Superintendent in Freehold Borough.  My 8+ years as Superintendent and 5+ months as Interim ends.  Proud to be part of fixing facilities, funding and academic opportunity.  All my best to the team and their new leader.

The Freehold Intermediate School Girls Basketball team was in action this afternoon hosting Eisenhower. Lots of action and good cheering. @FISLions

The last two days we did a check in on our local Tomazic Family Scholarship awardees, especially that funders Rich & Linda Berthy of the Foreside Foundation were in town. One in college doing his teacher practicum at FIS, one in Colts Neck HS and two at Freehold HS.

It is a special treat in you final days when your coworkers give you a surprise breakfast just to say thanks. So very much appreciated.

The Park Ave Elementary Addition is making good progress. The contractor is currently working on installing the storm water drains. Next up will be laying out the foundation and preparing for the pour of the concrete slab.

The Freehold Intermediate School Boys Soccer Team was called before Freehold Borough Council this evening for winning the MCISSL Liberty Conference Championship. Thank you Mayor Kane and Councilwoman Shutzer for spearheading the recognition. We're all very proud. @FISLions

Freehold Learning Center held its Cape Ceremony today for December. November's super students passed their capes on to a new recipient in their class, who will now wear the cape on Fridays the whole month. The whole school was pumped! @FLC_ElemSchool @RockyTiger_FLC

The Board and Administration finished the ceremonial start of the Park Ave Elementary Addition project. Work is underway and proceeding on schedule. A great place to be as we kickoff the Thanksgiving break.

We took the second of three shovel ceremony photos this morning. Freehold Borough Mayor Kane and members of the Freehold Borough Council helped us celebrate the start of construction on the Park Ave Elementary Addition, which will add instructional space w/o bonds or added debt.

Forget the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC. Park Ave Elementary ESL students organized their own “Balloons Over Broadway” event today parading through the school for the enjoyment of their classmates. Didn’t even have to worry about the winds. ⁦@PAEeagles⁩
