Today in class, we read RJ 1.1 using a script/lesson by @FolgerLibrary. The kids were incredibly engaged, demanding to do multiple takes until they got it right. Clapping for each other and thanking me for giving them a chance to act out. On a Friday afternoon. Good times.

This week our Superintendent spoke to the newspaper staff about the long-term future of our district. Will MHS and DHS merge at some point? No one knows. But an informed public is necessary whatever happens. Focus journalists will help make that happen.

Short but excellent thread
This will be unpopular as a @michigandaily alum but two things can be true at once: 1. The annual football game means a lot to a lot of people & it would be a shame for the tradition to end 2. @thesnews feel like the game has become mean-spirited & don't *have to* participate

As a SNews alum, my playing days are long behind me. But @womackmo and the @thesnews are smart to focus on real journalistic integrity. If the game has degenerated into hostility and deliberate attempts to injure, no sane person would want such a lame “tradition” to continue.
