It was a time killer to look at pictures or read some facts, but now it's ads and violent news and fake history accts, and when I do get to a real person their content is either unrelatable, mean, or straight up suicidal.

A lot has to do with the whole M*sk takeover and the general lack of quality in the user experience. But I think even deeper than that, a lot of you are really unwell and it's really harrowing to log in and doom scroll through unfiltered, unmedicated content.

Obvs never went viral with any memes but even my own posts just decayed in quality after a while and as I barrel towards real adulthood, posting every thought that comes into my brain has lost its charm (and for what even?).

In the same way Tumblr had a lifespan, I joined over 10 years ago to see cute outfits and pictures of planes and catch up with what my friends were up to but it's sort of just. Not doing it for me anymore.

So after a particularly good shower I think I've finally decided to delete Twitter 🧵.
