Just a D.C. attorney looking for his lost shaker of salt. Plainly not the real Jimmy Buffett, don't be daft. Tweets adhere to the standards at 1 U.S.C. § 1.

Yeah there's lots of potential problems with this lawsuit but this aint one. And to say "judicial norms out the window" because people are applying ripeness doctrine that has been the law for 60 years is ???.
Also, if traditional rules of ripeness applied, there’d be no lawsuit. No one has yet been denied a benefit of citizenship. And the parents have no legitimate expectation or reliance interests in coming illegally. Judicial norms out the window.

How does this even work? Presumably the lead plaintiff is a parent suing in a representative capacity for her child, so it's a representative representative suit? That's a little weird, usually you have to be closely related to a child to litigate on their behalf in court.
Breaking: Trump's birthright citizenship order is blocked nationwide again, after a judge in New Hampshire said he would certify a nationwide class of children who would be deprived of citizenship if the policy took effect.

This is an almost sanctionably frivolous argument. Stopping funding to Planned Parenthood cannot be a bill of attainder not least because PP does not (and cannot) have a vested property right in as-yet-unappropriated payments. And plenty more reasons besides.
The lead count in Planned Parenthood's complaint is, believe it or not, bill of attainder. What more do you need to know about how baseless this complaint is?

Funny how these people only ever end up defending history's worst regimes—Hitler's Germany, the Ayatollahs' Iran, and so on. Being so contrarian that you start defending genocidaires is not a good thing. Sometimes, the popular wisdom is right.
Where to start? The leaflet referred to here—“A Last Appeal to Reason,” by Adolf Hitler—was dropped en masse on August 1, 1940. By that date: . 1) Nazi Germany’s attempt to destroy the Royal Air Force ahead of an invasion of Britain was already in its fourth week (on July 10,

It's not no tax on tips itself that will do this. It's that no tax on tips will incentivize even more aggressive solicitation of tips, and people are already sick and tired of being harassed with tip demands at self-serve kiosks.

There's never any introspection about why tuition alone exceeds $50,000 a year at these schools, nor whether it should. Just bemoaning when the government finally turns off the free money spigot.
Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill caps the amount of money law students can borrow at 50,000 dollars a year. That doesn't even cover tuition at many law schools, let alone cost of living. This is devastating.

This is stupid. What power does Davis think Roberts has over individual district judges? What "consequences" does he think the Court can impose on them?. In fact, Davis knows this isn't how things work, and he's playing dumb to gin up anger at the Court.
Illegal aliens are avoiding deportation by pretending they're persecuted back home. So the Trump administration sends them to third countries. A Boston Democrat judge unlawfully blocked this. More than two months later, the Supreme Court finally reversed. The same day, that.
