Glens Falls senior Joseph Girard III scored 52 points in an 81-67 win over Queensbury to boost his state career-record total to 3,922 points. The Syracuse commit hit eight 3s and went 10-for-12 from the line. That's five 50-plus games in his last six outings.

Glens Falls junior guard Joseph Girard III has been named USA Today's Player of the Year for the state of New York. He averaged 50 points per game for the 20-3 Indians with 179 3s. Previously he was named the Gatorade New York Player of the Year.

This Duanesburg team is something special and has been a pleasure to cover.
About yesterday- two things continue to stand out, our smothering defense and the unbelievable community support. We held Greenwich who was averaging over 70 points to a season low 47. As for the support, our great fans packed the big gym and were loud and proud! Thank you 🦅
