The Warriors unenthusiastically engaged in a few sign-and-trade discussions, but a source says they're now out on those talks and that Jonathan Kuminga will be on the team this season. What this means and also my simple compromise proposal.

The most (pick compensation wise) the Kings should offer the Warriors for Jonathan Kuminga is a lottery protected, 2027 first-round pick that immediately conveys to two second-rounders. The last thing Sacramento needs is its picks to be frozen for multiple years.

The old FO wasn’t good (at all), but I think Vivek deserves most of the blame here for the situation. There was zero market for LaVine and his contract.
Sam Amick reaffirmed that there is no market for Zach LaVine this morning. Also mentioned that the Kings aren’t attaching draft capital to move him. Last year’s FO left one of the worst roster situations in the league for Perry and now the goal is not to compound mistakes.

The Warriors want to bring back JK simply to have his salary slot available. If the offers aren’t great now, will they be *that much* better at the trade deadline? Them offering a team-option/trying to waive the NTC says everything.
