Observational - to be confirmed – we hypothesize that elevated pre-chemotherapy inflammation causes ´immune cell exhaustion´; given elevated/chronic exposure to TNFa linked to Tcell dysfunction, and IL-8 may impair NKcell function. Great Nordic collab with the PhysCan group! 2/2.

Final PhD paper from the ever so industrious Tim Schauer is out. Pre-treatment systemic inflammation by IL-8 and TNFa was independently associated with risk of chemotherapy dose-reduction in patients with breast cancer. 1/2
