I’m ready for the Senate Rs to give us an actual offer, not a temporary flat funded budget that lacks an actual transit funding fix. I know I’m not going to get everything I want in this budget (that’s compromise), but some things are non-negotiable.

What do you want to know?.

🎶 Like waiting for a bus that never shows, you just start walking on🎶 - transit users . 🎶 I’ve got my money on things going badly 🎶- students waiting for school funding . 🎶 I pay the price of what I lost and what it cost 🎶- counties waiting for human services $.

Probably makes me a bad Swiftie, but gotta admit that the proposal I was hoping to hear about today (or, ya know, months ago) was of the PA budget variety.

Today, voting begins for nearly 1,000 nurses at Magee Hospital, the largest nurse union effort in recent PA history. These workers deserve safe staffing, fair treatment & a seat at the table. We stand with @mageenursesunited against UPMC’s union-busting.

As transit cuts loom, the PA Senate GOP passed a “plan” that forces fare hikes and doesn’t fix our transit crisis. Meanwhile, the PA House passed a bipartisan bill that funds transit and requires accountability, without raising taxes.
