My wife and I both waited til marriage... 21 years and 3 children to show for it at this point. The longer we have been married the more grateful we've been we both waited... and the more "fun" marriage has gotten. Don't let people blackpill you on this.

Praise the Lord my folks pulled me out and homeschooled me. I ended up attending college early and getting an engineering degree. But man, I wasn't prepared for this new awareness of what GATE was... and what it has done to me. Sheesh.

My parents pulled my sister out to homeschool due to her grades/performance. But they gave me the option and I decided to homeschool. Later my mom said the option was actually fake... that if I'd wanted to keep public schooling they were going to pull me anyway.

My mother was literally called in by my middle school GATE counselor for an interrogation. They knew my dad worked and my mom stayed home... she volunteered at the schools. I'd written an essay for my gifted class on optimism... and rooted it in scripture.

I've been thinking about this all afternoon/evening. The only parts that don't resonate are the drug experimentation, anxiety, and identify issues. And I think it's because my parents pulled me out of public school before high school... which is a result of a crazy GATE story...
