Human reasoning is annoyingly one-dimensional. This might ultimately be why AI has a leg up on us: It combines the multidimensionality of intuition with the accuracy of reasoning. It’s also why it’s a great match for medicine, as most diseases have multivariate manifestations.

Our new algorithm, Hybrid Hyperalignment (H2A), integrates both response and connectivity information in one model, and aligns both kinds of information simultaneously. This new H2A algorithm works as well as or better than previous methods.
check out our new preprint! Hybrid Hyperalignment: A single high-dimensional model of shared information embedded in cortical patterns of response and functional connectivity.
