As I have learned to live with PICS and the awful effects of ICU delerium, one of the most valuable lessons is to LIVE in the MOMENT. Appreciate NOW. It BRINGS clarity to a hectic world. Like this simple ROSE OF SHARON. Life life RIGHT NOW folks!!!

I'm VERY excited to read this. Having just spoke in #Nashville at the #CountryMusicHallofFame at the #AmericalDeleriumSociety GALA about Delerium and meeting distinguished medical professionals from all over, I NOW see that #ICUDelerium can become a thing of the past! #hope.

Neuropsychological testing showed that the entire back portion of my brain was damaged during my 30 days in the ICU. I'm thankful God spared my life, however 14 years later I still suffer daily as a result of the injury to my brain, yet, I PUSH FORWARD. I CAN do hard things.
