For all of our sakes, I hope Donald Trump is not the second coming of Neville Chamberlain.

SLPS has a hard choice. Right size the district or burn through cash until they either run out of money or dramatically increase our property taxes to prop up a failing district. Doing nothing means by default, they have chosen the latter.

Charter schools are highly varied in their efficacy, but lottery studies show they are better for students on average than the schools they compete with and the gap is growing larger even as politicians have perversely turned anti-charter. https://t.co/YWzUQVrPc0

The data shows that independently run public schools perform better than conventional ones, yet Biden has been conspicuously silent.

If we Democrats want to win back the American people we have to deliver results in big institutions that have lost the public trust like education. We should stand up to the special interests inside our own party and push policies (like charter schools) that are for children.

If we Democrats want to win back the American people, we have to prove we can deliver results for everyone. That’s why reform minded Democratic mayors like Cara Spencer will improve the national party by fixing their own City Halls.

We (and I include myself) want our doctors and hospitals to heal what’s wrong with us no matter how sick we are. Reasonable. But, how do we expect that to happen if we haphazardly slash medical research and tell genius doctors from other countries they’re not welcome? Leeches?

Amazing news about School Choice in Missouri. "However, most importantly he (Gov. Kehoe) announced that in the ‘27 session he would be doing the full school choice agenda. They won another win this year, but the big win is coming." https://t.co/wFhbUzrXFH

DOGE has collapsed. Musk is gone. And the deficit/debt is getting worse. Who could have foreseen that? (A: Anyone who isn’t surprised that Putin was playing President Trump.)

Compare the City’s response to last week’s tornado to its response to last winter’s ice storm. It’s like comparing Patton to the Three Stooges.

Only one month into the Spencer administration and City government is already way better. Residents don’t expect miracles. They expect their mayor and comptroller to show up, work hard and show a little humility— and we’re getting that from @CaraSpencerSTL and @DonnaBaringer .

I disagree with Senator Hawley on a bunch of stuff. But, on the storm recovery? Good for him.
