All things considered: - pandemic - decrease from 10 to 8 episodes - late stage recast of Celebrimbor - many other productions hiccups The first season of the show is still pretty solid. And everything we saw in S2 and what I’ve heard about S3 indicates an upward trajectory

TROP showrunners very intentionally laid the groundwork for all the non-canon ships - both haladriel *and* mirendil. Whether or not there’s any basis for the ship in the books becomes irrelevant when we’re talking about the show universe
