Interesting perspective by UW student Nadia Siddiqui (and many CI leaders and alums including @jdhron and @EllenKimMD) on the ubiquity of AI having reached the clinical setting. Several recommendations on what we should be teaching our clinicians.

As we all know from our clinical work, the computer can both be a huge asset and a liability--the job of the informaticist is to maximize the former and minimize the latter. (original publication: https://t.co/BtEO2JyMt7 )

A quick reminder to all doctors--there's this great field called clinical informatics. What is clinical informatics? To use the best definition, from Charles Friedman--it's to MAKE this equation true: A doctor with a computer > doctor alone.

**Engineered Prompt**: The paper includes our carefully engineered prompt. Simply asking an LLM to "translate this document" may not yield the same results, and different languages likely need different prompts due to unique linguistic properties (6/7)

**Unique Study Design**: Unlike other studies using standardized instructions, this research used clinician-entered patient instructions, setting it apart from previous work, including our own (see Brewster et al, Pediatrics 2024) (5/7)
