Hey,
@NBA
. Can you share the name of the camera person who captured this? They deserve to be recognized. What an iconic scene they (and, obviously,
@Giannis_An34
and
@Jrue_Holiday11
😉) gave
@Bucks
fans. Just magnificent. 🎥
Final chemo treatment today for this astonishing breast cancer-slaying bad ass, who’s crushed absolutely every step of this journey — except her decision to forbid her husband from shaving his head to show support. I wish I was 1/100th as tough as you are. You are incredible. 🤍
Aaron Rodgers to
@ErinAndrews
: “This is a scrappy team. This is a tough, physical, gritty team. I’m so proud of our guys. … To have these guys come out and play the way they did, I’m so proud of them. ... I love this football team. I’m having so much fun right now.”
I don’t know what constitutes “clear-and-obvious” any more than Matt LaFleur does, but this seemingly should at least have been looked at by the replay booth/NFL office on the game-deciding INT, no? It was a turnover play so it’s automatic, yes?
(Thanks for the photo,
@BTramp
.)
Bo Melton just emerged from the practice-squad locker room area — even though he has a main locker room spot now. Asked him what he was doing. “Those are my guys back there. If I don’t hang with them they won’t claim me anymore.” Success not changed the

wideout. 😀
Amari Rodgers, whose father coached Randall Cobb at Kentucky, says the ex-
#Packers
WR was like a big brother to him growing up. Now, the
#Packers
have a player mentored by Cobb who has a similar game.
Aaron Rodgers goes with an unforgettable line from The Shawshank Redemption in his farewell Instagram post to his friend and now ex-
#Packers
teammate Randall Cobb.
This does not absolve Rodgers of any mistakes he made in these games, and no one is suggesting he played perfectly. But it does provide some very interesting context to the
#Packers
’ playoff defeats in the Rodgers Era, wouldn’t you agree?
Two thoughts:
1) I could have sworn Chandon Sullivan clearly recovered that fumble for the
#Packers
.
2) Weird loophole in the challenge system.
#Packers
were right -- it was a fumble. But they lose a challenge for "no clear recovery." Seems ... unfair. No?
Sad news for the

Randall Cobb’s return to

#NFL
source confirms
@chrisbrockman
report that one of Aaron Rodgers’ BFFs is returning. Not done quite yet, as Cobb’s restructuring his deal to make it happen. Cobb also will mentor his protégé Amari Rodgers, reunite with Davante Adams.
The guy on the left is 161-97 all-time (including playoffs) with nine playoff appearances, one Super Bowl appearance and one NFL championship.
The guy on the right is 166-107-2 with 11 playoff berths, one Super Bowl appearance and one NFL title.
Perception is a funny thing.

WR Davante Adams today: "We didn’t just lose seven games in a row, so we can stop acting like it’s the end of the world. ... Let’s stop being dramatic. It was one game. We’re not going to be rattled by one game no matter who it is or where it was."
Lost amid all the other stuff from today: Jordan Love told an amazing story about how his mom, Anna, will be at Sunday's game, and she's been at every one of his games going back to Utah State -- including when he was redshirting and wasn't going to play. Every. Single. Game.
I was 11 when the Brewers traded Gorman Thomas. I was crushed, but at least it wasn’t Robin Yount.
I’m sure Dame will be great. But Jrue is Syd’s absolute favorite. She didn’t take the news well. 😢
Thanks for being a a great player, Jrue — but an even better human.

He drafted Aaron Rodgers.
He drafted Nick Collins.
He drafted David Bakhtiari.
He drafted Clay Matthews.
He drafted Davante Adams.
He signed Charles Woodson.
He signed Julius Peppers.
The '07, '10, '11, '14, '16 teams were title contenders.
Wasn't perfect, but have some respect.
As a reporter, I failed you as our readers, listeners, followers. His choice of the word "immunized" in response to
@ByRyanWood
's direct question about being "vaccinated" should have been more closely scrutinized. I was there. I can only speak for myself, and I am sorry.
We talk a lot about negatives in sports — who made a crucial mistake in a game, who ran afoul with the law off the field, etc. And those things do require coverage. But here’s hoping

@UofAlabama
gets plenty of well-deserved attention, too.

QB Aaron Rodgers to end our call: "There are some new factors that are out of my control. And so my sincere desire to start and finish with the same organization, just as it has with many other players over the years, may not be a reality at this point."

Understand that lots of
#Packers
fans like torching the former QB on here, but it says something about Aaron Rodgers that he reached out to Jordan Love on the eve of his first training camp practice as the starter to wish him luck and impart advice. Cool that Love told us, too.
What an incredible class act Aaron Jones is. He didn’t need to talk to us today. But he did, and he spoke of his late father, Alvin Sr., with love, pride and eloquence. Two great archived stories about them:

Wasn't planning to write about this today, but this quote from
@AaronRodgers12
really deserves to be out there even before the story is written.
A fascinatingly introspective answer (both self-reflection on a personal level and examination of his game) from the
#Packers
QB.
“I played at Wisconsin-Green Bay. The hyphenated schools — I know how good they are. … Good basketball knows no divisions or limits or qualities. All that matters is who plays the best … It’s who played the best for those 40 minutes and [UMBC] absolutely did.” ~ Tony Bennett
Full quote from Aaron Rodgers on losing Van Pelt: "My quarterback coach didn't get retained. I thought that was an interesting change -- really without consulting me. There's a close connection between quarterback and quarterback coach. And that was an interesting decision."
This story keeps getting more interesting. Source says there is a good chance Martellus Bennett plays tonight for the
#Patriots
. It’s the expectation. Three days on the roster & now on the field.
So. Many. Questions.
1) Who's the guy buying the drinks?
2) Is that socially acceptable?
3) Best play for 12 is to ... ?
4) What bill did Danica have there? $20? $50?
5) Is the girl in the background dressed in a schoolgirl costume?
6) How does the camera catch this odd moment?
The
#Packers
placed WR Randall Cobb on injured reserve today to clear a roster spot for ILB De’Vondre Campbell to come off the reserve/COVID-19 list, but based on Cobb’s Instagram story, he’s well on his way to recovery from last week’s surgery to repair his core muscle injury.
Excellent reminder here that, whether you want them to or not, whether you’re Aaron Rodgers or Kurt Benkert, whether they mail you a card to sign or not, kids are looking up to you and looking to you for encouragement and an example to follow. Good on ya, Kurt.

Asked at midweek about the
@NFLFilms
video of him being Mic’d Up, Matt LaFleur (

fans smile.

QB Aaron Rodgers wishes his ol’ running back Ryan Grant a happy birthday and says, “One of the most interesting and smart teammates I ever played with — and one of the toughest guys. ... He was a great player for us.”
"I wouldn’t mind winning ugly all the way to the Super Bowl.” ~ Aaron Rodgers, two weeks ago.
Well, your NFC North champs are 12-3 and on the cusp of a first-round playoff bye. Ugly offense does enough, as dominating defense delivers a 23-10 win at U.S. Bank Stadium. Wow.
In a 59-second tribute for a guy who had plenty of highlight plays (495 tackles, 17.5 sacks, five interceptions, eight forced fumbles in 98 games) over eight years, you include the clip of his collarbone-breaking hit on Aaron Rodgers after the ball has been thrown ... why?
I'm biased, but
@SophiaMinnaert
is magnificent at this job. Insightful-but-concise questions. No, "Talk about," or "Give me something on." This is a clinic, and she didn't even do the interview in Spanish, as she can also do. We should all strive to be as good at our jobs as her.

Am I the only one who thinks those ice-the-kicker timeouts have to be made well in advance of the snap or not count? Should not be able to have the kicker get the kick off and then have to do it again. Just my $.02.
My first audible sideline “WOW!” of the off-season about a Jordan Love throw.
#Packers
new QB1 with a perfect on-target, in-stride deep ball down the left sideline to Christian Watson, who got behind two-time second-team All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander. A much-deserved “WOW.”
Every Sunday growing up in Wisconsin, it was Brent Musburger, Phyllis George, Jimmy The Greek and Irv Cross for me before watching the

, who invariably played at noon. So many memories of that show (and the theme song). She was a true trailblazer.

Phyllis George, a former Miss America and one of the first women to have a national role in television sports as a co-host of "The NFL Today," has died in Lexington after an illness. She was 70. And she was, and always will be, a legend.
