Friends, poets, poet friends, I have just lost a teaching gig I was dependent on for the upcoming year and need to supplement the income. If anyone needs any poems, stories, essays edited let me know 🥰
I am reminded opportunity should be for everyone, not just the homies. So I am sharing this open document of places to submit for book prizes, open calls for subs, and fellowships. This is editable, feel free to add to it.
Okay, I guess I can make my own post. I’m THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE, I am the winner of
@Omnidawn
1st/2nd book contest! Thank you
@sawakonakayasu
for selecting my book. I’m over the moon! 🥳
6 years ago, I submitted a manuscript to Button thinking it was the best thing ever written and it was (RIGHTFULLY) rejected. I didn’t submit another manuscript until 2019. Now I have a chapbook out, a chapbook due this year and a full length next! KEEP WRITING!
This is an honest ask, something I’ve wanted to do for years. Does anyone want to start an organization that focuses on its writers and their growth. Someplace that is not about gaining money but teaching writers? I am so down to brainstorm if anyone wants to hop on a call

Hello Lit Twitter, from this point on in literary spaces, I will only be going by They/Them pronouns. I will also not but responding to guy, man, bro, dude, etc.. I appreciate your understanding.
Y’all! I’m funded. Thank you so much to every single person that donated or shared or reached out. Yesterday, I wasn’t sure how I would possibly make it and less than 24 hours later I can go. I am so grateful for you all and this community that continues to give to me. I love you
Today has been a whirlwind, I am very excited to be a fellow for
@LambdaLiterary
. I am short the funds a bit, if you are able to help, I would greatly appreciate you, even if that is just sharing this link. Thank you all. I love you all.
Hey Poetry friends, I am designing a workshop on love poems. What would you say makes a good love poem? Furthermore, what are some of your favorite love poems?

I want to teach a class on line breaks but I swear this first line... I would not have broken here and I’m STUNNED AT ITS BEAUTY... like the AUDACITY TO BREAK AT SHE AND CLEEEEEEAR IT! Also please note, Ellen Stone is a masterful poet! I love this so much 💜💙💜💙
If you are only reading poetry books for their “clear linear story” then you are thinking about poetry from a single minded angle and therefore not able to grasp all of the concepts that may be proved in the collection

I’ll say it again; when I started writing about myself, magazines started picking up my work

Like why you ask what I want if you gon make what you want? I didn’t want vanilla. AND AND AND!! I was saying nothing, YOU asked. I answered truthfully, which is the basis of a healthy relationship. I also hate to side with m*n but he is right in this situation.
Hey everyone, I’m taking a break. From Twitter, from writing, from everything for a minute. Please don’t text me and ask me what’s up, I really don’t feel like talking. Catch y’all later. 💜
If you are wondering, yes I did get into the
#Scribner300
and yes I still think publishing for poets (and all writers) should be more accessible to the “lesser known” poets

I guess since I’m at TSA, I can start this long post! So Seattle, let’s start there, it’s so hilly and beautiful. I often struggle with mover’s want when I visit a new city. The imagination dreaming of a life in other places. This is one of those times. I loved the city, (1/x)
