if you voted YES today and are feeling sad and disappointed right now please do not give up. being an ally for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people involves much more than just one vote. here is a list of just 10 of many things you can do. 𧡠#AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe

Is this the sort of environment you deem appropriate for patients to wait to get pharmacist prescribed oral contraception, antibiotics, and discuss weight loss management @qldhealth? Our patients deserve more. Stop funding pharmacy prescribing trials & start funding primary care.

Really excited to be getting back into #healthworkforce advocacy attending the Junior Medical Officer Forum Queensland in Bris. Great to talk to representatives from each hospital and cover pertinent issues such as: unpaid #overtime, #workforceshortages, IMG support and more!

Background More than 35% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults live with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease. There is a pressing need for chronic disease prevention...
Pleased that our review of barriers & enablers for chronic disease care for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people has been published in @HarpsJournal on #CloseTheGapDay2024 + Intl Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination. @jasminemdavis96

MANUP WA are doing great work in raising awareness of the role GPs can play in supporting young men with their mental health. Many young boys may not know their GP can be a point of help, but we can educate them about the safe, and confidential space primary care can provide!

I feel torn about this 49% interested in First Nations careβ¦ why not 100%? Culturally safe care should not be an optional interest, it should be a minimum standard! We should not be aiming for just @NACCHOAustralia organisations to be safe, but all services and practitioners β₯οΈ
Did you hear that @Mark_Butler_MP ? 46% of respondents are interested in rural practice, 49% in First Nations care. Please keep listening so we can translate this to a strong, happy, sustainable workforce πͺ @RaatusRuth @RuralDoctorsAus @ACRRM @amapresident @RACGPPresident
