people are way too impatient with development man. Harper playing alongside Fox (hopefully just for a few seasons) isn’t some career derailing path, it’s probably going to help more than hurt. and force feeding reps doesn’t automatically lead to better results.

if Harper and/or Castle don’t pan out, you still have a reliable ball handler for Wemby and if they do and Fox doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world getting off his contract wouldn’t be a major issue.

I like Harper but the team building approach of throwing out all young guys and just banking on progression doesn’t work, this isn’t 2K. the extension also provides some stability for the season.

on paper the Fox contract isn’t ideal but given their situation and cap it’s fine. throwing Harper into the fire next season alongside a t5 player under serious win now expectations wouldn’t be smart. just hope he doesn’t end up being a major negative halfway through the deal.

I don’t see a point in ranking players while factoring in health and durability. when it comes to someone like Embiid, you’re better off just leaving him off entirely than putting him outside the top 10.
