Donald Trump promised to lower costs and protect consumers. Instead, his @FTC - the agency which should be taking the lead in lowering costs - is waging right-wing culture wars while grocery and housing prices continue to rise. This is a shameful abuse of a historically.

I’m sending love and light to all those impacted by the devastating floods in Texas. To the families and friends of those who have lost their lives or are still missing, please know that we are all thinking about you. Thank you to the brave first responders who are working.

The Republican Party just betrayed the American people to give tax cuts to billionaires. It’s shameful. The fight goes on, and my top priority remains protecting the health and dignity of every American.

Many of my GOP colleagues are going against their own beliefs just to jam this Big Ugly Bill through and get it to President Trump’s desk by an arbitrary deadline. The American people deserve better and will not forget. It’s not too late. Vote NO!.

Hakeem Jeffries: “I feel the obligation Mr. Speaker to stand on this House floor and take my sweet time.”. He’s actively delaying final vote on the budget bill, giving Americans more time to call their representatives.

I’m not just a no on Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, I’m a HELL NO!. We can’t let the House Floor turn into a crime scene. If Republicans proceed with stripping health care from 17 million Americans, 51,000 people will die each year. All this to give tax cuts to billionaires.

The Senate Floor is now a crime scene. Trump's Big Ugly Bill will kill 51,000 Americans each year. This is what happens when you kick seniors, sick people, and poor individuals off their health insurance. All of this to give tax cuts to billionaires. Shameful!.

To my Republican colleagues in the Senate: Before you vote on this Big Ugly Bill, think about it. How are you going to sleep at night knowing YOUR VOTE will single-handedly strip health care away from millions of your fellow Americans, and could even kill some of your very own.

My dear friend, @morethanmySLE, is a disabled patient advocate, a two-time cancer survivor and a health care activist who lives with chronic illness. Peter is just one of the millions of Americans who rely on Medicaid funding to get the care he needs. Trump's Big Ugly Bill will

Americans depend on the @USCPSC to keep dangerous products away from our families - especially our kids. Yet, the Trump Administration’s budget request proposes to eliminate the agency. Our country needs and deserves a strong, independent consumer watchdog. Lives are at stake.

The power of the people is greater than the people in power. I joined hundreds of @SEIU members on a sweltering DC day to make our voices heard loud and clear. Medicaid is a lifesaver. We can’t let the GOP rip away health care from millions to give tax cuts to billionaires.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled that states can cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood. People all over will be cut off from their breast exams, vaccines, mental health care, and so much more. I just joined protests outside the court because health care is a human right.

Ten years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that love is love!🏳️‍🌈❤️. We're grateful to all the advocates who made their voices heard, whether in the streets or around the dinner table. There'll be more victories to come. We'll keep marching on until we establish equal rights for all.

Donald Trump gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and it cost Americans $18 billion. Higher bank fees, dropped enforcement cases, and zero accountability. This is what deregulation looks like: a gift to big banks, paid for by working families.

For my entire career, I’ve worked to advance reproductive freedom, and I'm not backing down now. Today, I'm proud to join my @ReproCaucus colleagues in reintroducing the Women’s Health Protection Act. Abortion is health care, and health care is a fundamental human right.

I’ll always remember the horrifying story of my friend’s back-alley abortion pre-Roe v. Wade. Now, three years after the rogue Supreme Court overturned Roe, we're hearing the same devastating accounts. Women are dying because they can't access lifesaving abortion care.
