A mother just called my office and was terrified. Her adult son with intellectual disabilities lives in a care facility and relies on SNAP to eat. Trump and Speaker Johnson would rather let people suffer than actually do their jobs. If SNAP goes unfunded, Republicans are
Breaking News: Roughly two dozen states sued the Trump administration over its refusal to fund food stamps during the government shutdown, seeking to spare roughly 42 million people from hunger and financial hardship starting Nov. 1.

Trump and Speaker Johnson can’t be bothered to show up to work while Americans' health insurance premiums skyrocket, and they struggle to put food on the table. Families will starve, but don't worry, billionaires will still get their tax breaks. We are the richest country in
Speaker Mike Johnson is siding with the Trump administration’s decision to not tap emergency funds for food aid for 42 million Americans — who are slated to lose SNAP benefits on Saturday if the government shutdown continues.

Democratic members of Congress converged on Chicago to conduct oversight of DHS’s unlawful and unconstitutional actions. We’re continuing to demand transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. Together, we must stand strong against Trump’s abuse of power.

Just another reminder that Speaker Johnson is keeping the government shut down to stop the release of the Epstein files. Democrats stand ready to lower health care costs, reopen the government, and deliver justice for Jeffrey Epstein's victims. Speaker Johnson must stop

$40 billion for foreign aid to Argentina. $0 for American seniors losing telehealth and home care. The GOP's priorities are crystal clear: billionaires and special interests come first. Who are they really working for? Certainly not you.

Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans have decided that using $20 billion of taxpayer funds to bail out Trump's friends in Argentina is more important than working with Democrats to reopen the government. Health insurance costs rising. Federal workers going unpaid. Food
It says a lot that Trump can find $20 billion to bail out Argentina, but won't help the millions of Americans who are in real need at home. So much for “America First.”
