I barely read books, but this one has created a very strong impact. The book is not about motivation or inspiration, but simply about realism. It probably pushes you to live a more real life. Having said that, not for the faint hearted, it will make you question a lot of things.

Copying Musk’s managerial style as a founder in hopes of improving productivity when you’re not Musk will get you exactly as far as copying Uber’s engineering strategy of thousands of microservices in hopes of getting to a $50B exit when you’re not Uber.
We’re going to see a lot of founders who simply have no managerial experience taking all the wrong lessons from the Twitter saga. Elon might be the exception that proves the rule, but highly doubtful copying his managerial style will produce outcomes desired by these copycats.
