If you want to help your child enjoy sports more, it starts with what you ask immediately after the game. Those questions are the "consequences" of performance - what your kid will remember most. If you want sports to be fun, start by asking what they enjoyed and learned/

Had a great conversation with Tom from Spill the Watt’s podcast this morning. If you’d like to take a listen, click the link below 🙏🏻🖤 https://t.co/zpm4lB0PNf

We were both at home last week with flu. Still not 100% but couldn't take it anymore and needed to get outside today.

This was a really good presentation on preparation for orienteering competitions (with some really nice insights about performance in general) from 14 time orienteering world champion and Finnish National coach Thierry Gueorgiou. https://t.co/Po6p8bAghg

My wife and our friends have been trying to get me into orienteering for the last 16 years with little to no success. I did the local kid's "orienteering school" with my son this summer and ran some easy competitions with him and now we have this fun new hobby. They're annoyed🙄

We've taken a sport sampling approach with our kids and we especially like sports that we can do together as a family. Found orienteering this year and it's quickly becoming a family favourite 😍

If you want to read the "Norwegian Training Method" derived from and explained by coaches and athletes who have been winning with it for decades, here it is. Nice summary! By the way, "Dæhlie" in the team name Aker-Dæhlie refers to 8-time XC skiing Olympic Gold medal winner
The English version of our training document. https://t.co/vD4sgUbByJ

So this also happened. Kasper inked a LTAD deal with BV that hopefully sees him rise to the World Tour in the future. It's been a gift to be a custodian of his development for the past three years. Looks like we get 1 more year together before he is off to bigger and better 🤩

Athlete made the decisions that it wasn't worth potentially having to live with worst problems for the rest of their life. I agree with the decision but would be interested in any expert opinions or hearing about other's experience with this surgery.

After some investigations it was determined that the athlete did indeed have MALS. We hoped that corrective surgery could be an option but the medical team that was looking after the athlete considered the surgery to be highly risky and recommend not to have the surgery.

MALS results from compression of the celiac artery by the median arcuate ligament. Reducing blood flow & O2 delivery to the body and in athletes presents as abdominal cramps. I asked the athlete (and parents) to visit a doctor and have MALS ruled out 🤞🤞

A review of the literature on Exercise Induced Transient Abdominal Pain (ETAP) was made. And after many months I came across an article on Median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS) in athletes and how it often presents as ETAP.

Interesting case: For the last year I have been coaching an extremely talented youth who was suffering from severe abdominal cramps during HIT training & racing. The athlete had been to several doctors, specialist and exercise physiology labs and gotten a clean bill of health.

This young lad had a massive performance yesterday. 16 years old and 16th in the men's pro field at the inaugural FNLD GRVL race. Best in U19 category. We are ready for Finnish Championships. Lets gooo! 🔥

The right dosage of load and recovery brings the optimal performance results. That’s not just true for athletes but also for coaches, managers, high performers regardless for their job. This is not about work life balance, this is just about physiology and neuro science.

All cycling products are destined for the landfill but the cycling industry seems to come up with the most brilliant ways to get every single part of the bike there quicker. Carbon BB threads 🤦🏼♂️
