The N24h is easily top 3 one of the best events I’ve ever covered. And this photo shows why. While f1 fans are up in arms about a recovery truck being on track with Porsche cup cars between sessions, this is the formation lap for the Nurburgring 24h. Scenes 😂

For anyone that's still confused. Documenting sports/f1 is as much as documenting the tough times as it is about the documenting the good times. They are part of the history of the sport. And it's just plain and simple part of the job as a photographer to do so.
Remember all those photos of Senna sitting next to his car, or Mansell collapsed next to his as he tried to push it to the finish line. Or Schumacher sitting in the woods after a retirement. Or Raikkonen sitting in the weeds chewing grass? Should we just not take those images?

My friend Jose lent me his off camera flash setup near the end of the 12h of Sebring. Worked pretty well. For those curious, shutter speed was 1/6 of a second. Aperture f7.1. Single shot, manual focus at 102mm.
