There are some ‘dry channels’ coming into the atoll to south of us. We’re expecting the sea level to rise and come through there into the lagoon, but it’s facing away from the main wave so hopefully low drama!

Sitting in French Polynesia waiting to see what this tsunami does. We’re safely tucked inside an atoll, Toau, but we have friends who have left anchorages to ride it out at sea. Authorities in the Marquesas are requiring boats to stay offshore for 48 hours. We wait….

When I was an immigrant in Ireland, I awarded this guy’s fledgling web agency one of its first major projects.
One of the great sorrows of my life has been watching my beautiful home country of Ireland be destroyed by it's own unfettered immigration policy. As of the end of last year there were 1.2M immigrants out of a total population of 5.38M.

This is a pattern I find myself using increasingly with @tinybasejs: some of a user’s app data is private. Some is local. Some is in the cloud. Some is shared. Some is synced. Makes sense to shard it out into different databases altogether, each with different behaviors.
