Hi people. So life update. As many of you know I said I was taking a break. During said break I ended up in the hospital with severe chest pain, unable to catch my breathe, heart not doing heart things, nausea, the whole 9 yards. Today after countless blood tests and EKGs I was
Today I lost someone who was more than a friend. He was a brother. We went through so much together. So much heartache. But now I go from attending other friends funerals with him, to attending his own.
As I type this I look at our last call together. It was absolutely amazing
BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨- professional idiot, Steve Norris uses the excuses of “ fair use” and “it’s news” to be as heartless as possible showing graphic footage of a family being rescued.
“Amateur meteorologist” isn’t a real thing, if you have a MET DEGREE than you are a MET on a pay roll or not, if you have no met degree than you are not a met, professional or amateur
First(and last) summit was interesting, first time in TX, first chase in TX, first photogenic tors for me. All In one day
Huge shoutout to
@WxScholl
for allowing me to ride along!
As many of you know, I struggle with severe PTSD. I used to always have this dream of a individual who didn’t make it standing over me while I’m sleeping, I would always ask if he was okay and how I could help, he would then grab his throat, look up to the sky and the ceiling
@madelynn_wx
I personally love it when a NWS office sends me straight to voice mail 3 times while I’m trying to report a tornado on the ground doing damage (cough cough Nashville office)
Just north of Sikeston MO. Inside the tornado I measured 105.9 mph multiple points of damage with debris scattered for yards in field

From the work of our damage survey teams today, the tornado count from yesterday currently stands at three: an EF3 in Columbia with 140 mph winds, an EF1 with 90 mph winds in Robertson County near Springfield, and an EF0 with 80 mph winds in Rutherford County near Eagleville.
And on this topic exactly 1 year ago today I arrived at the ER with thoughts of just having dehydration. As I was pulled into triage and hooked up to a heart monitor the only thing I heard was “oh no” and was put into a cardiovascular room immediately. I was diagnosed with

Dear
@POTUS
,
Please wait to start a civil war until after national chaser summit, I think it is in the best interest of the U.S not to have a bunch of people who drive towards/into tornadoes for fun involved in such an act
Cheers,James
This week has been life changing . From tornadoes, to breaking down in front of a tornado, to auroras.
Before this week I was in a position where I felt I was losing touch with this side of me. Safe to say I didn’t!
Rolling Fork 1 year later.
A night that changed the lives of chasers, first responders, but most importantly a community. My first time being back was filled with emotions as I’m sure it was for many. As I was speaking with

I’m going to be very blunt with you all.
To have someone in our community pass away due to mental health and use it to make it about how poorly you were treated makes you a terrible person. Death is not supposed to be a time when we say “oh well I’ve been treated poorly and
One of the worst nights of my life, but allowed myself to be opened up to a new meaning of storm chasing. We are often overthrown by the cool pictures of the tornadoes, but what many don’t see is what the news doesn’t show. This night haunts with me forever. The moment I stepped
The storm that changed me forever, Rolling Fork, Mississippi. It’s been over 6 months.
Time flies, but my mind often flashes back to this day. It almost doesn’t even seem real.

I’ve spent 4 of the past 5 days chasing, 2 of those days were cut short due to trees almost killing me and or blocking me in, another day I was dusted out to the point I couldn’t see the road in front of me, today sealed the deal, as frustrating as it was being on those cells
The 2023 season was filled with so many interesting and exciting moments, so many highs, and quite a bit of lows. With that being said, the 2024 season is around the corner.
See you guys soon
One of the most painful things to see on Twitter is people arguing about the EF scale, yet I am 99% no one has researched building codes of homes and structures damaged like the NWS has. Why do we forget about building codes when we debate on ratings??
“Experience is what drives passion”
As we are in men’s mental health week I think it’s important to remember why we do what we do. Many of us may have experienced a traumatic event chasing. We may have seen things we don’t want to see, hear things no one should hear, experience
Day 4:
“The Bible Belt still stands”
I think this photo just speaks for itself. RF is in an area known as the Bible Belt. Within many of the churches in this area you find bells outside of them. A symbol of many things, but to me, a symbol of faith and hope. A symbol that no
Day 3:
“It sticks with me”
There’s many things about RF that stick deep in my brain, but one image that will forever remain in my brain is the semi trucks. Seeing debris pierced through the trailers. Seeing one stacked on another, on top of more debris. These will forever be in
@LovesTravelStop
Definitely a little area for overnight passengers. I know myself as well as many other storm chasers who use your facilities to wash up after a chase or search and rescue, and then take a short nap in the parking lot before getting on the road again. Sometimes it’s a hassle

On December 9th, 2023 at around 1:30 pm, a tornado would touch down and devastate a rapidly growing Military town. This ef-3 would go on to have a max width of 600 yards, with a 11.3 mile long path of destruction.
Montgomery county EMA would go on to report
Well, the time has come….
I want to start this post off with a huge shout out to those who got tornadoes in Iowa this year. Recently it has come to my attention that I am a believer in the lies of Iowa, but with recent events I believe it is time we switch from lieowa to IoWa.
Starting today, I will post a photo a day of my time in Rolling Fork from the 24th-28th.
Starting off with a simple yet strong representation of this community. During my time helping out and photographing, I saw this specific vehicle numerous times. even with blown out
So this thanksgiving has been very different from many others. Today I look back on this year and realize how incredibly thankful I am to be alive. With mental health battles to scary heart problems to car accidents. To be quite honest sometimes I wonder how I’m still alive. If
I think we gotta give

more credit for how he is handling the situation. Dude had it play out right in front of him yet he is what seems like the only one who is not moaning and groaning about it. Mad respect
@Hayden2002WX
That’s a hard one, I would truthfully have to say April 27,2011. We’ve had many events since that have been a “loaded gun” but that event was more like a “loaded nuclear warhead”
