For years I’ve noted that that the US is better suited to campaigning than for governing. Here’s a perfect example: the last election was 8 months ago, the midterms are not for another 16 months, but @GavinNewsom is campaigning for the 2028 Democratic nomination in South Carolina.

A remarkable, coordinate strike this evening by the United States, using submarine-launched cruise missiles, and B2 launched bunker-buster missiles against three Iranian nuclear sites.

Will military strikes be followed up by moves for regime change in Iran, or will regime change naturally occur as a result of military strikes and the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities?.

Looks like the president has taken his opportunity to strike.
