📝 Delighted to announce that my first legislation as Minister for Housing is the extension of rent pressure zones across the entire country, effective immediately.
Having received and considered the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Bill 2025, the President has signed the Bill and it has accordingly become law.

Great to see this moving. The LDA has now acquired four major sites in Dublin on the private market with the potential for 5,800 homes 🏠🏠🏠.
@LDA_Ireland announce the acquisition of a significant urban regeneration site in Cookstown, Tallaght. Subject to planning permission, the 3.95-hectare site could deliver over 700 new homes with associated amenities, facilities, and park. Read more here:

The Capuchin centre of today provides more than 1000 hot meals a day, as well as food parcels every week to people who need it. An incredible, inexhaustible man, who sought dignity and respect for every single person who sought support, and that legacy rightly remains.

RIP Brother Kevin Crowley, who has passed aged 90. Brother Kevin founded the Capuchin Day Centre on Bow Street in Dublin in 1969. He was tireless in his commitment to those who were in need of support due to homelessness and poverty.
