Yale leads 90-62 with just a few minutes left and will close out a win to open its campaign. Tough first home game for Navy coach Jon Perry, albeit against a team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season.

Navy with what appeared to be a broken play leading to an easy Yale dunk. Bulldogs are up 56-33 just into the second half. A Midshipmen player yelled "oh shit" on the play. Been that type of night for them at home.

Yale leads Navy 24-22 with 9:02 left in the first quarter. Nick Townsend isn't even allowing time for double-teams right now. The forward is 4-5 from 3-point range with 16 points. Quite the individual effort right now.

Navy leads Yale 12-9 with 13:47 left in the first half. Yale All-Ivy League forward Nick Townsend has seen a lot of double teams thus far — Navy coach Jon Perry said it would take a team effort to slow him down. Townsend with 4 points and a turnover so far.

I wasn't in College Park for this one, but a disappointing start at Xfinity Center for the Buzz Williams-led Terps. Maryland starts down 11-0 and winds up losing by 10.
FINAL: Maryland 60, Georgetown 70 The Terps didn't lead at any point and shot just 25% from the field in the first home game of Buzz Williams' tenure. Myles Rice led the team with 19 points (4/9 fg, 10/10 ft), and Pharrel Payne had 17 (2/7 fg, 13/15 ft).

Buzz Williams on Maryland's physicality: "We're not nearly as physical as we're going to have to be ... all three of our contests thus far, we have lost the physicality part." Said he anticipates tomorrow's game will be even more physical.

Buzz Williams on the importance of the matchup with Georgetown: "I do think that the emotion of the first home game, the emotion of the rivalry, all of those things outside of our program are very important, and they have importance within our program."

Buzz Williams ahead of the matchup with Georgetown and coach Ed Cooley: "I think against any coach Cooley team, in order to have a chance to win the game, you have to win the fight." Buzz added that Cooley has always been known as an "offensive savant."

I sat down with DeShawn Harris-Smith ahead of his return to Xfinity Center on Friday. He opened up about his two years at Maryland, from not living up to expectations to battling confidence issues to why he felt the Kevin Willard situation was overblown. For @thedbk ⬇️

Who is Chuck Douglas — one of Maryland’s most loyal fans? He’s been called a bot, a burner and even AI. But he’s as real as it gets — a Terps alum, ex-Wizards exec and one of Maryland’s loudest voices online. “Can I go overboard at times? Maybe.” https://t.co/3An7MJ3bTW

Cam Rice is one of Maryland's biggest film watchers. The Terps' two sessions in a day isn't enough for the defensive lineman. So, I went to Jones-Hill House to sit with Rice and break down his plays from this season. “Like doing homework, but it’s fun." https://t.co/wg13185Fq9

I asked Locksley about the load Malik Washington has shouldered as a freshman. "To be quite honest, we haven't put a lot on him. If you look, first and second down, typically he's under center, turning, handing the ball off." Did mention tough third-and-longs for the QB.
