Buzz Williams on recruiting strategies around the DMV: "Where they're from is important, and it will always be important, but who they are is always going to supersede where they're from."

Buzz Williams on Maryland's physicality: "We're not nearly as physical as we're going to have to be ... all three of our contests thus far, we have lost the physicality part." Said he anticipates tomorrow's game will be even more physical.

Zahir Mathis was named a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, per a media release. The defensive lineman boasts 23 tackles, six tackles-for -loss, 4.5 sacks and a blocked kick, despite missing virtually all of the last two games.
