The 2025 season comes to a close with a 38-28 loss to Michigan State. It is the Spartans' first conference win of the year. Results and actual progress is necessary for the program. Another poor season, Locksley could be gone. Or not. Many thought he'd be gone after this year

That should be game. Omari Kelly is wide open in the endzone for a 10-yard touchdown on fourth-and-seven. Terps trail 38-28 with 1:56 left

Washington slips and is sacked on fourth down following the interception. Michigan State gets the ball at the Maryland 35-yard line with 3:01 remaining

Dark comedy continues for the Terps. Malik Washington, with 449 passing yards, drives Maryland to the nine-yard line. Then Sean O'Haire misses a 27-yard field goal to tie the game. Maryland trails 31-28 with 7:38 left.

And now a 24-yard touchdown grab by Jalil Farooq. Maryland trails 31-28. It took just four plays for Maryland.

Michigan State with a 92-yard kickoff return. 31-21 Spartans. It’s turned into a dark comedy for Terps fans.

Maybe it will be a happy ending? Washington connects with Knotts for a 25-yard score and Maryland trails just 24-21 with 6:26 left in the third. Would be some ending to the season.

Touchdown Maryland. DeJuan Williams with a five-yard touchdown. Maryland decreases the deficit to 24-14. Solid drive to start the second half.

Michigan State needed 55 seconds to drive 75 yards and score a touchdown before halftime. It is Milivojevic's third of the day, a nine-yard strike to cap an eight-play drive. Spartans enter halftime with a 24-7 lead over Maryland.

Locksley goes for it on the 25-yard line but the Terps can't convert. Malik Washington targeted Shaleak Knotts in the endzone. Decent ball placement by Washington, Knotts couldn't find the ball despite having a step. 17-7 Spartans with less than a minute remaining.

Maryland's offense showed a pulse with an eight-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. 17-7 Spartans. There was no running back rushes on the drive. Malik Washington tossed for 61 yards and ran for 19 on the drive.

The Spartans are up to 226 total yards of offense. 84 rushing, 142 passing. Maryland has just 81 yards.

Crowd at Ford Field is actually decent. And so is the Michigan State offense (against Maryland). The Spartans take a 17-0 lead with 8:40 left in the second quarter as Alessio Milivojevic throws his second touchdown of the day --- a 15-yard strike to Nick Marsh.

Daniel Wingate limping off the field now. He's been battling injuries for the second half of the season. Valiant effort by a lead Terps defender. Wouldn't blame him sitting the rest of this one.

Fourth-and-seven at midfield. Maryland's not going to a bowl. It's the final game of the season. Locksley decides to punt it.
