We used to be a proper fucking country.
Chatting to a cousin over a pint and he was telling me in the mid 90's he used to bring his mams Sky Card to the local pub on a Sunday cos he had Sky Sports package and let the lads in the local watch the match for the fee of 3 pints and a packet of Bacon Fries. (he was 16).

I have now read or listened to quite a few interviews with Catherine Corless about Tuam and what I notice is almost all the blame being placed on the nuns and very little on Galway County Council or the wider society.
