Charlie Kirk got more respect from the White House and Republicans than this dear woman and her husband. Who were true public servants. And elected officials.

We mourn Rev. Jesse Jackson, a civil rights icon & true friend of #Cuba. His relationship with Fidel proved mutual respect builds bridges where hostility fails. An opponent of the blockade, he knew shared humanity is stronger than any wall. Deepest condolences. Rest in Power. ✊🏾

Through Rainbow/PUSH, Jesse Jackson created the closest thing the US had to a social-democratic bloc in the 1980s. The manifestation of the dreams of both the civil rights and New Politics movements. RIP to a titan.

It was great to be able to attend an event at the Rainbow PUSH coalition the night before the 2024 DNC. The celebration of Rev. Jesse Jackson was a celebration of organizing for racial and economic justice and it was amazing to see how many lives he touched. RIP Rev. Jackson.

Today we mourn the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a giant of the civil rights movement who never stopped demanding that America live up to its promise.
He marched, he ran, he organized and he preached justice without apology.
May we honor him not just in words, but in

A reminder that Rev. Jesse Jackson always showed up for working people, including the Teamsters in the historic 1997 UPS strike. RIP

I would be a lot more sympathetic to this if this model hadn’t been tried and failed consistently in every election in recent memory. The greens and PSL have done this for decades. Where is their mass base? DSA has built more more in 10 years by running to win
@bibles4booze The point isn’t to become president but to win a mass base for a socialist party ala Eugene Debs

The, "if we can't win elections let's rig the system" is getting really blatant.

Yea so easy to get a passport to vote.
The U.S. State Department has ordered certain public libraries nationwide to cease processing passport applications, disrupting a long-standing service that librarians say their communities have come to rely on and that has run smoothly for years. https://t.co/uVvcTWWX9O

Being a democratic socialist means prioritizing collective power over individual careerism. NYC-DSA is what it is because of the principled leadership of members like Stylianos.
